BAN® 480 LS

BAN® 480 LS is an alpha-amylase that rapidly hydrolyzes gelatinized starch, reducing its viscosity. It's suitable for use in maltose production as a processing aid to improve filtration rates and de-hazing of syrups. It can also be used to make high-DE maltodextrins.

    To inactivate this product, you just need the right temperature and pH conditions. That makes it ideal for secondary applications where residual alpha-amylase activity is undesirable. These include maltodextrin production.

    This product breaks down dextrans present in raw sugar juices and syrups. That lowers viscosity and allows you to maintain plant capacities.

You can use BAN® 480 LS in several processes. It delivers viscosity reduction and helps resolve filtration problems. These include problems that appear in maltodextrin production. BAN® 480 LS also helps resolve post-saccharification filtration problems in maltose or dextrose syrup production.
