Termamyl® 2X is especially suited to maltodextrin production, both high and low dextrose equivalent (DE) and speciality syrups that need higher DP3 levels.

  • Low liquefaction pH

    This product allows you to drop liquefaction pH. That means you can reduce pH chemical use in liquefaction, saccharification, and any ion exchange steps downstream.

  • High dextrose (DX) levels

    The action pattern of this product produces fewer panose precursors. That leads to higher dextrose (DX) levels in downstream saccharification steps and decreased non-fermentables (panose) in fermentation.

  • High dry substance (DS)

    This product delivers fast viscosity reduction. That allows you to reach high dry substance levels, and minimize your evaporation costs.

  • Ease of inactivation

    To inactivate this product, you just need the right temperature and pH conditions. That makes it ideal for secondary applications where residual alpha-amylase activity is undesirable. These include maltodextrin production.

Termamyl® 2X delivers stable liquefaction performance and is easily inactivated. That makes it suitable when subsequent processing steps benefit from a lack of alpha amylase activity.
